Programmes

Our highly interactive development Programmes help teams, divisions or larger groups address issues that may be affecting performance. By providing the time, space and environment for discussion, participants are encouraged to identify the challenges and opportunities facing them, come up with their own solutions and test them in the workplace. Programmes can last anything between 3-6 months.

“Handstand brought our staff into contact with elements of the business they would not normally encounter, which promoted better engagement and commitment. People were empowered to make genuine personal contributions to business success. Managers put into practice a better awareness of carbon emission issues and enjoyed reductions because of changed staff behaviour. Electricity consumption at our Archway Leisure Centre in north London has reduced significantly (about 40%) in part due to the changed behaviours brought about by Handstand, and in part due to other investments.”

“I wanted to let you know what a difference Handstand has made to our organisation.  You provided consulting to help us launch a series of wellbeing projects.  The topic was viewed with some scepticism but the approach and the early results soon won over hearts and minds.  Two of our teams in the first pilots particularly benefited from the wellbeing projects and the evidence came through in the Staff Survey results with both teams considerably above the average and all benchmarks when assessing their wellbeing. A particularly valuable aspect of your work with us was that you shared knowledge and facilitated our HR Group to create their own toolkit and approach to suit our culture, thus creating a powerful methodology to help all our staff improve their general wellbeing.  This holistic approach has been a key element in our portfolio to create an attendance culture and the overall results are impressive; 36% improvement in attendance and over £1million productivity saved.  Thank you.”
Anne Copeland ,Director of HR, Central Government Department
