Who we are and what we believe

Rather than imposing change from the top down, we believe in giving employees the opportunity, time and space to find their own solutions to what hampers their performance. We believe that employee-driven solutions create lasting, sustainable change that can be replicated across teams, departments, divisions and even beyond the confines of organisations to the communities of which they are a part.

At Handstand, we help organisations create profound and sustainable change. Profound change is not created by changing strategies, structures and systems, unless the thinking behind them also changes. Our approach recognises the importance of personal choice and responsibility in terms of what we do as individuals, how we operate with our teams and how we best respond to our customers. Our evidence-based Engagement Efficiency Model© provides a standard against which organisations can evaluate and improve performance at an individual, organisational and societal level. Our workshops, programmes and consultancy services encourage people to combine personal shifts in values, aspirations and behaviours with shifts in workplace processes and strategies.

As an owner-managed business, all Handstand assignments are led and delivered by Tracy Butterworth. Where projects require additional capacity and expertise, Tracy partners with like-minded consultants from her professional network. Find out more about out partners here.
